You can check the operation of the thermostat using a regular thermometer. Hang the thermostat as shown in the picture 148, put it in a vessel with water and heat the water. At approximately 85°C the thermostat should begin to open. When the water boils, the valve should open completely (minimum gap 8 mm).
Before filling with coolant, check the tightness of the hose and the fastening of the clamp. Fill with coolant (see subsection 4.1.1).
