In vehicles equipped with headlight washers, a washer reservoir with two pumps is installed in the engine compartment. Each of the cleaner's arms is equipped with its own small motor. After switching off, the leashes automatically return to their original position. The right windshield wiper motor is equipped with a contact that closes briefly during system operation, turning on the washer pump. Water is supplied from two nozzles in the leash for several seconds. This prevents the formation of an opaque "water wall" on the headlight. In addition, water is saved. The headlight washers are activated by turning on the headlights and turning the wiper switch on the steering column stalk.
