Removal

1. Remove the turn signal lamp.

2. Remove the electrical wires and pneumatic tube for height adjustment from the headlight.

3. If present, remove the headlight wiper arm (24). To do this, fold up the protective cover, unscrew the nut (22) and remove it together with the washer (23).

4. Depending on the equipment, unscrew the crossbar or side protective covers in the area where the headlights are mounted.

5. Remove the two screws (26) and unhook the protective cover (25) under the headlight.

6. Remove the screws (27–29) and carefully pull the headlight forward. Cover the shock absorber with a cloth to avoid scratching it.

7. If equipped, remove the hose to the headlight lens cleaner.

8. If the headlight lens is to be removed, remove the rubber seal. Remove the two retaining clips (38) from the spring clips at the top and bottom. Remove the lens (9) together with the seal (21).

Installation

1. If removed, insert the headlight lens into the housing and press it in at the same time until the support earrings at the top and bottom click into place.

2. Check the seal in advance for porosity and replace it if necessary.

3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.

4. After completing the assembly, have the headlights adjusted at a specialist auto repair shop.
