Features of the cooling system of 6- and 8-cylinder engines (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)
If after stopping the engine the coolant temperature is above +110°C, the circulation electric pump in the cooling system is switched on, forcing the liquid to move along the circuit. As a result, local overheating of the engine and the formation of steam locks are excluded. The circulation pump operates for no more than 10 minutes after stopping the engine.
