The oil pump is located in the engine crankcase. The power of the gear pump varies depending on the engine characteristics. The oil pump is equipped with a pressure reducing valve that limits the pressure to 5 bar. The suction pipe of the oil pump is immersed in an oil bath (crankcase). From the oil pump, oil flows to the filter. At full throttle, more than 30 liters of oil per minute pass through the pump.
