1. Check the tightness of the hoses on the radiator and engine (Fig. 4.42) by bending. Replace any that are hard, brittle or cracked immediately.
2. Check the tightness of the hose connections on the inlet pipes.
3. Check the tightening of the clamps. When the car is moving, at the operating pressure of the cooling system, if the clamps are not tightly tightened, liquid may leak and the fasteners will be subject to corrosion. Replace rusty clamps.
