Replacing front turn signals (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)

Sequence of works





1. Open the hood.

2. At the top of the low beam headlight, turn to the left (counterclockwise) turn signal lamp socket and remove it from the headlight housing.

3. Press the lamp down slightly in the socket, turn it to the left and remove it from the socket (Fig. 9.30).

4. Insert a new lamp into the socket, turn it to the right until it clicks into place.

5. Insert the socket into the headlight housing and turn it to the right until it stops.

Checking the light signal



With the ignition on, press the steering column headlight switch. The high beam headlights and the corresponding indicator lamp should light up. If the light signal does not work, although the headlights light up when turned on, you should first check for voltage on the main switch wire. If there is voltage, the steering column switch is faulty.
