If the turn signal relay is faulty (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)

When the turn signals fail, the driver faces serious problems, especially when driving in heavy traffic or at night. If the cause of the malfunction is a relay failure, the following emergency solution is possible.

Sequence of works

1. The turn signal relay is located on the relay board in the fuse box.

2. Remove the relay from the board by turning it slightly in different directions.

3. Install a jumper between pins "30" and "87" (are marked on the relay). To do this, insert a paper clip or a piece of thin wire into the relay contacts opposite the corresponding terminals.

4. In this state, when the indicators are turned on using the steering column switch, the lamps on the corresponding side of the car will light continuously.

5. By turning the indicators on and off using the steering column switch, you can achieve the required flashing signal.
