To keep your vehicle in excellent condition, it is necessary to perform maintenance on a regular basis. Maintenance should be performed both continuously and at certain intervals, which are listed below. These are the minimum maintenance intervals recommended by the manual.

If the vehicle is operated in severe conditions, such as dusty areas, low speed trailer towing or short journeys, more frequent maintenance is recommended.

Weekly or every 400 km



Check the following items:
  • engine oil level;
  • coolant level;
  • brake fluid level;
  • presence of water in the windshield washer reservoir;
  • condition of the battery, tires, windshield wipers and all bulbs.

Every 9,000 km


  • Change the engine oil and oil filter.

Every 18,000 km



In addition to all items for the 9,000 km interval, do the following.
  • Change the engine oil and oil filter.
  • On station wagon models, check the fluid level in the self-leveling rear suspension control system.
  • Check the gearbox oil level.
  • Check all under-hood components and fluid hoses.
  • Check the condition and tension of the auxiliary drive belts.
  • Check the refrigerant level in the air conditioning system.
  • Check idle speed and lubricate throttle linkage.
  • Check steering and suspension components.
  • Check the condition of the drive shaft protective covers.
  • Check the condition and thickness of the front brake pads.
  • Check the condition and thickness of the rear brake pads.
  • Check the operation of the handbrake.
  • Check the condition of the exhaust system.
  • Check the oil level in the final drive.
  • Check the condition of the rubber couplings of the cardan shaft.
  • Check the condition and operation of the seat belts.
  • Lubricate all hinges, locks and electric antenna.
  • Check and, if necessary, adjust the headlights.
  • Check the operation of the windshield wipers and replace the wiper blades.

Every 58,000 km



In addition to all items for the 18,000 km interval, do the following.
  • Replace the air filter element.
  • Replace the fuel filter and the filter mounted on the fuel pump.
  • In an automatic transmission, replace the transmission fluid and filter.
  • Check the condition of the clutch disc linings.

Every 12 months regardless of mileage


  • Replace the brake fluid.

Every 3 years regardless of mileage


  • Replace the coolant.
