Removal



Important! If necessary, the seat belt height adjustment mechanism rack can be removed without removing the trim panel. To do this, turn on the ignition, close the door and pull out the mechanism, then remove the ground wire from the battery. Disconnect the belt guide, then remove the rack from the panel. When installing, insert the rack by 50 mm, while it must engage with the engine. Then install the belt guide and connect the battery.


1. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the cushion and backrest of the corresponding rear seat.

3. Remove the screws and cover from the front of the rear seat side trim panel.

4. Remove the door seal from the door pillar.

5. Remove the window switch from the armrest and disconnect the electrical connector from it.

6. Unscrew the screws and remove the armrest.

7. Unscrew the screws and remove the door sill protective panel.

8. Disconnect and remove the side trim panel.

9. On models with a seat belt tensioner, disconnect the electrical connector from the retractor on the reel.

10. Remove the bolt and the upper seat belt anchor. Remove the belt guide and disconnect it from the seat belt height adjustment mechanism.

11. Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat belt height adjustment control unit and the electric motor.

12. Unscrew the bolt and remove the control unit.

13. Unscrew the bolts and remove the seat belt height adjustment mechanism.

Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Check the operation of the mechanism before installing the trim panel.
