Starter Solenoid Relay Wires
1. Jack up the front of the car and place it on supports (stand). Apply the parking brake.
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
3. Disconnect the wires from the traction relay. To do this, unscrew the nut, remove the power wire and disconnect the control circuit wires from the terminals.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the starter to the intermediate plate and bracket, remove the starter by lowering it down. A socket wrench is needed to unscrew the upper mounting bolt.
5. Install the starter in the reverse order of removal. All bolts are first screwed in by hand and then tightened with a wrench.
