In order for the engine to be started at all, the starter must spin it up to at least 300 rpm. This is only possible if the starter works flawlessly and the battery has sufficient charge.
Removing
1. Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative pole of the battery «masses» (-), by turning off the ignition first.
2. Insulate the battery terminals to avoid accidental short circuit.
Attention! When the battery is disconnected from the radio, the security code is deleted, as well as all automatic settings on the radio. If the code is unknown or not written down, the only way to put the radio into operation is with the assistance of a workshop or the manufacturer of the radio. Therefore, first make sure that the code is known.
3. Lower the power unit together with suspension brackets to dismantle the starter, see relevant chapter.
4. Unscrew nuts of fastening of plugs 30 and 50 on a starter and disconnect wires.
5. Unscrew two bolts 2 fastening a starter and remove a starter, having given it downwards from a motor compartment.
Installation
6. Reinstall the starter and secure it by tightening the bolts to 20 Nm.
7. Fix on plugs 30 and 50 electric wires of a starter and screw nuts.
8. Replace the power block, see relevant chapter.
9. Attach ground wire terminal (-) to the battery.
10. Set up the digital clock.
11. Enter the security code into the radio.
