Check the adjusting lever, connecting rod and gas control cable for ease of movement and damage. Replace damaged parts.

Adjustment in idle mode (accelerator pedal (224) is not pressed)

1. Loosen the hex bolt (c) on the hydraulic valve connecting rod (200).

2. Loosen the nut (204/1) on the spherical head of the connecting rod (204).

3. Turn the adjusting nut until the roller (215) in the rocker arm rests against the end stop without tension.

Attention! After adjustment, there should be no gap between the spring plate (226) and the spring itself (227).

4. Tighten the nut (204/1) onto the spherical head of the connecting rod.

5. Automatic transmission: Hang the control cable ball joint (211) without tension. To do this, pull the control cable until you feel a noticeable resistance. Turn the bolt (211/1) until the cable drive hangs without tension.

6. Rotate the hydraulic valve guide lever (d) until it rests on the idle speed limiter.

7. Stretch the connecting rod (200) on the riveted side until free play is established.

8. Tighten the hex bolt (c).

Full throttle control (manual transmission)

1. Turn to the left to release the throttle lever stop (216) in the footwell. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal (224) until the control lever directly reaches the throttle lever stop (arrow) on the injector pump.

2. In this position, by turning to the right, fix the throttle lever stop (216) in the inner space.

Full throttle control (automatic transmission)

1. Press the accelerator pedal (224) all the way down without operating the accelerator switch (S16/7).

2. Turn the adjusting screw (232) until the control lever directly reaches the throttle stop (arrow) on the fuel injector pump.

Adjusting the throttle control cable

Check the throttle control lever and cable for ease of movement and damage. Replace damaged parts.

Idle speed control (the accelerator pedal is not pressed)

Idle speed control (the accelerator pedal is not pressed)

Turn the set bolt until the guide lever rests against the travel stop (a) without tension.

Full Throttle Opening Regulation (manual transmission)

Full Throttle Opening Regulation (manual transmission)

1. Turn to the left to release the throttle lever stop (38) in the footwell and pull out the stop bolt slightly.

2. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal until the guide lever directly reaches the throttle lever stop (b), which limits its maximum opening.

3. Rotate it to the right to lock the throttle lever stop in the interior space in this position.
