Attention! The throttle cable is very sensitive to bending and must therefore be handled with particular care during installation. A single slight bend can subsequently lead to its failure during vehicle operation. Therefore, bent cables should not be used for installation.
Removing
1. Remove guide element (30/5). In this case, first pull out the plastic nipple from it.
2. Unhook the rope (30) gas control. To do this, withdraw through the slot in the rocker lever (32/6) cable drive. Squeeze the plastic spring clip (30/4) and pull out the rope on the support (32/3).
3. Remove the protective cover under the control panel.
4. Unhook the cable drive mount on the accelerator lever. To do this, pull out the holder with the expansion bolt.
5. Squeeze the throttle cable out of the interior of the car. When doing this, do not pull out the rubber bushing.
6. Completely remove the throttle cable.
Installation
1. Lubricate the throttle cable between the guide element and the tip with Mercedes-000 989 87 5110 anti-corrosion grease.
2. Check the rubber bush for damage and porosity, otherwise replace.
3. Pull the throttle control cable into the interior of the car and hang it on the accelerator pedal lever.
4. Mount the protective cover under the control panel.
5. Insert the gas control cable through the hole in the support, press it into the support and fix it.
6. Hang the throttle control cable together with the guide element. Make sure that the plastic nipple is fixed in the guide element.
7. Adjust the throttle cable.
