2.0L Diesel Engine

Removal
1. Remove the intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Attention! This will erase the radio's anti-theft code.
3. Remove the glow plug from cylinder 3.
4. Remove the coolant supply hose (87), having first loosened and pushed back the fastening clamp (87/1).
5. Remove the fuel supply line (88), having first loosened and moved back the fastening clamp (88/1).
6. Remove the fuel line (89). To do this, release the quick-release fastener.
7. Unscrew the bolt (13a) on the fuel injector pump.
8. Remove 3 bolts (86/1) on the holder.
9. Unscrew the thermostat (86).
10. Remove the hollow bolt (86/2). 11. Remove the hollow bolt from the thermostat.
Installation
1. Press the hollow bolt into the thermostat, if damaged, replace the O-ring.
2. Install the thermostat.
3. Screw in the hollow bolt.
4. Screw in the bolts (86/1), (13a).
5. Push the fuel line forward, if damaged, replace the O-ring.
6. Slide the fuel supply line over and secure it with a clamp.
7. Slide on the coolant supply hose and secure it with a clamp.
8. Install the glow plug for cylinder 3.
9. Install the intake manifold.
10. Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal.
11. Set the time on the clock.
12. Enter the radio anti-theft code.
13. Start the engine and let it idle. Check all connections for leaks.
14. Check the coolant level and top up if necessary.
2.2/2.5L Diesel Engine

Removal
1. Remove the intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Attention! This will erase the radio's anti-theft code.
3. Screw the bolt (42) onto the wire well.
4. Remove the fuel line (90/2). To do this, release the quick-release fastener.
5. Remove the fuel hose (90/1), first loosening the clamp and sliding it back.

6. Remove the mounting bolts (60/2).
7. Remove the fuel heat exchanger (60) together with the thermostat. Drain the leaking coolant into a suitable container.
Installation
1. Install the fuel heat exchanger together with the thermostat and new seal (60/3) and tighten with a torque of 10 Nm (approximate value).
2. Fit the fuel line; if damaged, replace the O-ring.
3. Place the fuel line on and secure it with a clamp.
4. Install the intake manifold.
5. Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal.
6. Set the time on the clock.
7. Enter the radio anti-theft code.
8. Start the engine and let it idle. Check all connections for leaks.
9. Check the coolant level and top up if necessary.
