The cylinder head cover is removed, for example, to disassemble the injectors, camshaft or cylinder head.

Removal



Removal


1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Attention! This will erase the radio's anti-theft code.


2. Remove the air cleaner cross pipe.

3. Remove the wiring channel on the engine (3).

4. Remove the top cover (4).

5. Unscrew the engine exhaust ventilation system (5) from the cylinder head and remove its connecting elements. Do not bend the air ducts.

6. Remove the oil drain hoses from the injectors.

7. Unscrew the bolts (6) of the cylinder head cover.

8. Remove the cylinder head cover (7) with the sealing gasket (8).

Installation



Installation


1. Before installing the cylinder head cover, ensure that the cover bushings (1) are seated correctly (arrow). Replace damaged sealing rings.



2. Install the cylinder head cover with the sealing gasket and tighten to 10 Nm, i.e. not too tight. Replace the damaged sealing gasket.

3. Connect the fuel injection lines and oil drain hoses.

4. Connect and secure the engine exhaust hoses.

5. Install the plastic cover and wire channel.

6. Install the air filter cross pipe.

7. Connect the battery ground (–) cable.

8. Set the anti-theft code for the radio.

9. Start the engine and check for oil tightness.
