2. Place the vehicle on a level surface, switch off the ignition and apply the parking brake. For better access, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands (see "Lifting the car and placing it on supports"). Please note that to accurately check the oil level when filling, the car must be lowered onto a horizontal surface.
3. Clean the area around the filler/inspection plug, which is located on the left side of the final drive (see fig. 2.3). Unscrew the plug.

4. Place a suitable container under the drain hole and unscrew the plug on the right side of the housing (see fig. 2.4).

5. Allow the oil to drain completely into a container. If the oil is hot, be careful not to burn yourself. Clean both the drain plug and the filler/inspection plug. Be sure to remove all metal particles.
6. When the oil stops flowing, clean the threads of the drain hole and plug, tighten the plug. If the car was raised, lower it to the ground.
7. Filling the gearbox is a very inconvenient operation. First of all, wait long enough for the oil to settle at the level before checking. Note that when checking the oil level, the car must be on a horizontal surface.
8. Fill the final drive with the required amount of oil and check the oil level as described in Chapter 1. If the final drive has been filled with the required amount of oil and oil begins to leak out of the inspection hole, tighten the plug and drive the car for a short distance to distribute the new oil between the final drive components. Check the oil level again upon return.
