2. Park the vehicle on level ground, turn off the ignition and apply the parking brake. For better access, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on jackstands (see "Vehicle lifting and jacking up"). Please note that in order to accurately check the oil level when filling, the car must be lowered onto a horizontal platform.
3. Wipe clean the area around the filler / check plug, which is located on the final drive on the left side (see fig. 2.3). Open the stopper.

4. Place a suitable container under the drain hole and unscrew the plug on the right side of the housing (see fig. 2.4).

5. Allow the oil to drain completely into the container. If the oil is hot, be careful. so as not to get burned. Clean both drain and fill/check plugs. Be sure to remove all metal particles.
6. When the oil stops flowing out, clean the threads of the drain hole and plug, screw the plug. If the vehicle has been raised, lower it to the ground.
7. Filling the gearbox is an extremely inconvenient operation. First of all, wait long enough for the oil to level before checking. Please note that when checking the oil level, the car must be on a horizontal platform.
8. Fill the final drive with the required amount of used oil and check the oil level as described in Chapter 1. If the correct amount of oil is poured into the final drive and it starts to flow out of the check hole, tighten the plug and make a short trip so that the new oil is distributed between main gear parts. Upon return, check the oil level again.
