Note: Disassembly and assembly will require a press. If it is not there, you can use the large vise on the workbench and gaskets (type large sockets for socket wrenches). The inner clips are pressed into the hub. If the inner race remains on the hub when it is pressed out of the steering knuckle, a bearing puller with sharp jaws will be required to remove it.
1. Remove the rear hub holder as described paragraph 9.
2. Attach the hub retainer securely and gently push the hub flange out of the center of the bearing. If the bearing inner race remains on the flange, use a bearing puller with sharp jaws to remove it.
3. Remove the bearing circlip from the hub holder.
4. Support the hub holder and press the hub bearing out of its socket with a pipe or bushing (see fig. 10.4).

5. Thoroughly clean the bearing seat in the hub carrier, removing all traces of dirt and grease and polishing off burrs and metal buildup. which may interfere with installation. Replace the circlip if there is any doubt about its condition.
6. When reassembling, apply a light coat of engine oil to the bearing outer race to facilitate installation.
7. Position the bearing in the hub holder and, using a tube or bushing that rests only on the outer race of the bearing, press it in until it stops, making sure that it enters the hub perpendicularly.
8. Secure the bearing with the retaining ring, making sure it is properly seated in the groove of the hub holder.
9. Securely fasten the inner race of the bearing and press the hub flange against the bearing until it stops.
10. Check that the bearing rotates freely. then install the rear hub carrier as described in paragraph 9.
