Front wheel suspension (Mercedes-Benz Vito W639)

The front suspension is a single-lever MacPherson type suspension. The lower suspension arm is triangular in plan. The vehicle's braking forces are absorbed directly by a rigid lever without the use of reaction rods.

The ball joint is attached to the lever with three rivets. The ball joint is attached to the steering knuckle using a clamp with a tension bolt.

The upper end of the shock absorber strut is attached to the body. The lower end of the strut is attached to the steering knuckle with two bolts. The top of these bolts is an eccentric bolt, which is used to adjust the camber of the wheels.

The entire lower part of the suspension is mounted on a subframe, which is attached to the body.
