Removal and installation the locking cylinder (models 140 up to 31.08.95.)


1. Remove the steering shaft lock, remove the protective sleeve (36d) from the lock.

2. Press in the pillar (arrow) and remove the ignition switch (S2/1) with the steering shaft lock from the protective sleeve (36d). The locking cylinder (36) can be replaced together with the protective sleeve (36d) and cover (36b). On models with AT, the parking lock valve (37h) is also located on the ignition switch (S2/1).

Installation



1. Turn the locking cylinder (36) to position "1" using the key (36c) and press in the new sleeve (36d) until the locking pawl (36h) is locked in the desired position.

2. Remove the key.

3. Install the cover (36b) onto the protective sleeve so that the locking ring (36g) is locked in the desired position.

4. Press the ignition switch (S2/1) with the locking shaft into the protective sleeve (36d) so that it locks in the required position.

Removal



1. Remove the steering shaft lock, remove the protective sleeve (36d) from the lock.
