Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Drain the oil from the box while mounting the fill tube from the gearbox oil bath, and unscrew the oil bleed screws from the torque converter.
Separate the inlet and outlet pipes for the oil cooler from the connecting pipes.
Remove the control pressure lever from the shaft, then remove the fixing screws.
Disconnect the cable from the solenoid valve "Kickdown".
Unscrew the vacuum tube.
Disconnect the speedometer shaft from the gearbox.
Disconnect starter and reverse light control plug.
Pull up the control rod (see arrow).
Rest the gearbox in an oil bath and disassemble the rear rubber bearing with the engine mount bracket.
Unscrew the exhaust pipe bracket.
Remove propshaft flange.
Separate after removing the leaf from the clutch housing of the torque converter.
Loosen the outlet fixing screws.
Loosen the fixing screws of the clutch housing.
Press the gearbox with the torque converter back until the bearing pin of the converter can not be pressed anywhere when retracting.
Slowly release the gearbox down and pull it forward.
Installation takes place in reverse order.
When mounting the torque converter, the gearbox must be placed vertically and carefully seated on the drive shaft.
In addition, care must be taken not to damage the sealing protrusion of the radial sealing ring in the primary pump housing during assembly and, when the gearbox is assembled, not to touch the clamp washer on the clutch housing.
