Each gear is engaged automatically, depending on:
- gearbox control lever positions,
- program switch positions,
- accelerator pedal position,
- speed of movement.

Touching
1. Depress the brake pedal to release the transmission control lever lock and release the parking brake.
2. With the engine idling, move the short-range control lever to the drive position and wait for the gearbox to engage, especially in cold weather. Engagement of the gearbox is confirmed by a slight jerk.
3. Release the brake pedal and press the accelerator pedal.
Shifting gears after starting a cold engine
After starting a cold engine, the gearbox shifts at higher engine speeds compared to a warm one. This ensures rapid heating of the catalyst.
Stop
Leave the transmission selector in D or R and prevent the vehicle from moving forward or rolling backward using the brake pedal or parking brake.
Maneuvering in confined spaces
When driving in a confined space, regulate your speed using the brake pedal. Use the accelerator pedal sparingly.
Parking
4. Tighten the parking brake lever.
5. Move the automatic transmission control lever to position P.
If the car is parked on a slope, turn the wheels towards the curb.
Automatic transmission control lever position

The selected position is displayed on the instrument cluster display.
P - gearbox parking lock. After removing the key from the ignition switch, the gearshift lever is locked in position P.
The key can only be removed from the lock when the gearshift lever is in position P.
R - reverse. Reverse gear should only be engaged when the vehicle is stationary.
N - neutral position. Do not move the gearshift lever to this position while driving. This may damage the gearbox. It is permissible to move the lever to position N while driving, if, for example, the car skids on a slippery road.
D - movement. In position D, you can select driving modes that suit the driving situation. Shifting to a lower gear is performed in the sequence D, 4, 3, 2, 1, by lightly pressing the lever in position D towards the minus sign (-). The selected mode is shown on the display. If shifting to a lower gear is performed at a speed that does not correspond to the selected gear, then shifting does not occur in order to prevent the engine from spinning up.
Shifting to a higher gear is done by lightly pressing the lever in position D towards the side marked with the (+) sign. Holding the lever in this position switches the gearbox to mode D.
Position "4". Gear shifting is performed only through 4th gear.
Position "3". Gear shifting is performed only in 3rd gear. The engine braking effect can be used within the maximum permissible revolutions for the third gear.
Position "2". Gear shifting is performed only in 2nd gear. It is used for driving on medium ascents and descents, in the mountains or on roads with difficult conditions, as well as for braking on steep descents.
Position "1" - first gear. This position is used when driving uphill on a steep incline or for engine braking at low speeds when descending a hill.
Selection of programs
To select a program, the lever switch should be set to the designation of the desired program.
Gearbox emergency mode
If during movement the gearbox automatically switches to 5th gear and stays there, this means that the gearbox has switched to emergency mode. To ensure continued movement, you can engage 2nd gear or reverse gear by performing the following actions:
1. Move the gearshift lever to position P.
2. Wait at least 10 seconds.
3. Move the gearshift lever to position D. This means that 2nd gear is engaged.
If the lever is moved to position R, then reversing is possible.
Contact a workshop as soon as possible to have the gearbox checked.
