- gear lever position,
- program switch position,
- accelerator pedal position,
- movement speed.
Starting off
1. Depress the brake pedal so that the transmission control lever lock can be released and release the parking brake.
2. Move the shift lever with the engine idling to the drive position and wait for the transmission to operate, especially in cold weather. The inclusion of the box is confirmed by a slight jerk.
3. Release the brake pedal and press the accelerator pedal.
Gear shift after cold engine start
After starting a cold engine, the gearbox is switched at a higher engine speed compared to a warm one. This ensures rapid heating of the catalyst.
Stop
Leave the shift lever in D or R and hold the vehicle from moving forward or rolling backward with the brake pedal or parking brake.
Maneuvering in confined spaces
When driving in confined spaces, adjust your speed with the brake pedal. Almost do not use the accelerator pedal.
Parking
4. Tighten the parking brake lever.
5. Move the automatic transmission control lever to position P.
If the vehicle is on a slope, turn the wheels towards the curb.
Position of the automatic transmission control lever
The selected position is shown on the instrument panel display.
P - parking lock of the gearbox. After removing the key from the ignition lock, the gear lever is locked in position P.
Removing the key from the lock is possible only when the gearbox control lever is in position P.
R - reverse. Reverse gear should only be engaged when the vehicle is stationary.
N - neutral position. Do not move the transmission control lever to this position while driving. This may damage the transmission. It is allowed to set the lever to position N while driving, if, for example, the car skids on a slippery road.
D - movement. In position D, you can select driving modes that match the traffic situation. Downshifting is carried out in the sequence D, 4, 3, 2, 1, by slightly depressing the lever in position D in the direction indicated by the minus sign (-). The selected mode is shown on the display. If downshifting is performed at a speed that is not appropriate for the selected gear, no downshifting occurs to prevent engine spin-up.
Upshifting is carried out by slightly pressing the lever in position D in the direction indicated by the sign (+). Holding the lever in this position shifts the transmission into D mode.
Position «4». Gear shifting is carried out only on the 4th stage.
Position «3». Gear shifting is carried out only on the 3rd stage. The braking effect of the engine can be used within the maximum allowable speed for the third gear.
Position «2». Gear shifting is carried out only on the 2nd stage. It is used for driving on medium uphill and downhill, in mountains or on roads with difficult conditions, as well as for braking on steep descents.
Position «1» - first gear. This position is used when driving uphill on a steep slope or for engine braking at low speed while descending a hill.
Program selection
To select a program, the lever switch must be set to the designation of the desired program.
Emergency operation of the gearbox
If, while driving, the gearbox switches to 5th gear on its own and remains in it, this means that the gearbox has switched to emergency mode. To ensure continued driving, you can engage 2nd gear or reverse by doing the following:
1. Move the transmission control lever to position P.
2. Wait at least 10 seconds.
3. Move the transmission control lever to position D. This means that 2nd gear is engaged.
If the lever is moved to position R, it is possible to move in reverse.
Have the transmission checked by a workshop as soon as possible.
