Left column of signatures (Fig. 7.21) (top down):
- ECE control number (the product is manufactured in accordance with ECE standards).
- Year and week of release (404 = 40th week of 1994).
- Country of origin.
- "DOT" (Department of Transport, US and Canadian Standards Certificate).
- Profile designation.
Note: Since 2000, the DOT number has four digits. The first two digits represent the week, the second two digits represent the year.
- Class on UTQG (valid in the US only).
- Manufacturer/brand.
Right column of signatures (top down):
- Tread Wear Indicator (TWI: indicates the minimum permissible profile depth).
- Indication of the frame and cord construction.
- Max. lifting capacity.
- Max. allowable air pressure (only in the USA).
- Tire width (175 mm).
- Series 70 = height to width ratio of the tire = 70%.
- Tyre type: radial
- R: radial tire
- 13 inches (wheel diameter)
- Tubeless: tubeless
- Load capacity class
- Speed class (T)
