Checking the electric drive for rear view adjustment (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)

If the adjustment mechanism does not work when you press the adjustment knob, check the power supply.

Sequence of works

1. Check fuse #16 (see "Electrical equipment").

2. Remove the control knob from the center console and use a tester to check for voltage on the green-black wire.

3. If there is voltage, check the control switch itself.

4. Then check the wiring to the mirror, to do this, remove the mirror housing and unscrew the drive motor.

5. If everything is OK, the mirror adjustment drive motor is faulty.

6. If necessary, the mirror can be adjusted manually.
