General information
Four-stroke, four- or six-cylinder, in-line engine is mounted along the axis of the car vertically or with a longitudinal inclination at an angle of 15°to the right (M 102.980, M 102.982). Spark-ignition, water-cooled, overhead camshaft engines (engine model M 110 with two overhead camshafts), chain driven by crankshaft sprocket. The valves are actuated directly by rocker arms or via hydraulic tappets.
