Labels for tensioning the auxiliary drive belt on the engine tension roller M 102.982. To tighten the belt, unscrew nut 482 by 1/4 turn and turn nut 481 to the right until the adjusting pin matches the mark (5th for cars without power steering and with 7th with power steering or air conditioning compressor), then tighten the nut 482.
Adjusting the tension of the multi-ribbed accessory drive belt
1 — a bolt of fastening of a tension roller
2 — an adjusting bolt of a tension roller
1. Put the alternator drive belt on the pulleys.
2. Make sure that the tension roller is in its original position for adjustment.
3. Place the belt tension adjustment pointer opposite the zero division of the scale.
4. Tighten the adjusting bolt of the tension roller so that the belt tension adjustment pointer is opposite the 7th division of the scale (or 5th on vehicles without power steering).
5. Tighten the tension roller mounting bolt.
