Removal and installation the flexible speedometer drive shaft (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W123)

1. Disconnect the speedometer flexible shaft from the instrument cluster.

2. Jack up the front of the car and place it on stands (support). Apply the parking brake.

3. Loosen the bolt securing the speedometer flexible shaft to the gearbox and remove the shaft.

4. Open the latches securing the flexible shaft to the body and remove the shaft.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal, avoiding sharp bends of the flexible shaft.
