- mandatory when installing a gas control cable;
- if there are excessive jerks when shifting gears in the partial load range, i.e. at medium engine speeds. In this case, do not set the control pressure cable too short, otherwise you will not be able to perform brake shifts.
Shifting of higher gears is carried out in the range of high driving speeds.
If upshifting is only performed in the low speed range, the cable may become detached or break under certain circumstances.
Do not perform any reverse shifts with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
Brake shifts are not possible, i.e. when the selector lever is shifted back, for example from position "D" to position "3", the gearbox does not engage.
Attention! The described claims may have other causes. Since fault assessment requires special experience, assign the targeted detection of faults and their elimination to a car repair shop.
1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
Caution: Check the installation of the throttle control cable/throttle lever and adjust if necessary.
2. Leave the engine idling, disconnect the vacuum regulator, which has a threaded terminal, from the terminal and turn off the engine.

3. Turn the set screw (15) until the clamping nipple on the spacer sleeve (17) has a gap of approximately 2 mm.
4. Then back out the set screw until the point of the arrow is positioned exactly over the notch on the set screw.
