Contents: Removal ↡ Installation ↡
Heat exchanger (oil cooler) connected to the oil and coolant circulation circuit by direct and recirculation pipelines. The pipelines are connected to the oil pump from the side through the oil pan.

The operations performed on a 2.2/2.5L diesel engine are described below.

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative (–) cable from the battery.

Attention! This will erase the radio's anti-theft code.

2. Unscrew the lower engine compartment cover and remove it.

3. Drain the engine oil.

4. Drain the coolant.

4. Drain the coolant.

5. Unscrew the bolt (2) and remove the hoses (1) connecting the heat exchanger to the coolant pump. Note the installation position of the pipe holder (arrow).
