2. Check the thickness of the brake discs.
3. Measure the thickness of the friction linings of the brake pads (without back plate) using a caliper. The wear limit of the disc brake linings on the front and rear axles is reached if the friction lining without back plate is only 2 mm thick. In this case, always change all four friction linings of one axle.
Attention! As a simple rule of thumb, for front disc brakes, 1 mm of friction brake lining corresponds to a mileage of at least 1,000 km. This rule is valid even when the vehicle is operated under adverse conditions. In the normal case, friction linings withstand much more. With a thickness of the friction linings of disc brakes of 5.0 mm (without back plate) the remaining service life of the friction linings of the brake pads is therefore still at least 3,000 km.
4. Fit the wheels in such a way that the marks made during disassembly match. Lightly lubricate the centering seat of the rim on the wheel hub with anti-friction bearing grease. Screw on the wheels. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 110 Nm.
