2. Check the thickness of the brake discs.

3. Measure the thickness of the brake pad friction linings (without back plate) using a caliper. The wear limit of the disc brake friction linings on the front and rear axles is reached when the friction lining without the back plate is only 2 mm thick. In this case, always replace all four friction linings on one axle.
Attention! According to a simple rule, for front disc brakes, 1 mm of friction brake lining corresponds to a mileage of at least 1000 km. This rule is valid even when operating the car under unfavorable conditions. In the normal case, friction linings can withstand much more. With a thickness of friction linings of disc brakes of 5.0 mm (without back plate) the residual service life of the brake pad friction linings is therefore still at least 3,000 km.
4. Mount the wheels so that the marks made during disassembly match. Pre-lubricate the centering seat of the rim on the wheel hub with plastic grease for rolling bearings. Screw on the wheels. Lower the car and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to a torque of 110 N·m.
