Removing
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. If necessary, on non-turbocharged engines, refer to paragraph 3 and remove the air cleaner.
3. Loosen the seal and remove the fuel line from the fitting on the back of the low pressure fuel pump. Be prepared for fuel to leak out - place a suitable container under the pump and lay a cleaning material, (see fig. 3.3).

4. Loosen the connection on the top of the pump and disconnect the fuel supply line. Also be prepared for fuel to leak out.
5. When the fuel pump is removed, a small amount of oil may spill out - place an appropriate container under the pump.
6. Loosen and remove the nuts, then remove the low pressure fuel pump from the high pressure fuel pump housing. Remove washers and gasket.
Installation
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points:
- A) If the pump is being replaced with a new one, unscrew the fuel supply line from the top of the pump and move it to the new pump.
- b) When installing the low pressure fuel pump to the high pressure fuel pump, use a new gasket.
- V) When finished, securely tighten the low pressure fuel pump mounting nuts.
