Removing
1. Contact chapter 1B and remove the filter element.
Turbocharged engines
2. On models with an intake air temperature sensor attached to the air cleaner, disconnect the sensor wires from the connector.
3. Remove the bolts and/or nuts and lift the air cleaner housing off the housing panel. If necessary, unhook the housing from the inlet pipe.
4. If available, loosen the clamps on the hose. Disconnect the air duct connecting the housing to the airflow meter. Then remove the air cleaner housing from the engine compartment (see fig. 2.4).

5. If necessary, disconnect the vacuum line from the control flap actuator.
6. Remove the bolts and remove the front and rear support brackets and release the air cleaner from them, remove the rubber mounts (see fig. 2.6).

7. Remove the air cleaner from the intake manifold and remove the rubber cuffs.
Installation
8. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal. When finished, install the filter element according to chapter 1B.
