Note: Please read the warning at the beginning before operation paragraph 5 about the dangers of asbestos dust.
Examination
Note: If one of the discs needs to be replaced, BOTH discs must be replaced at the same time to ensure the same braking torque on both wheels. Together with the discs, all four brake pads need to be replaced.
1. Place wedges under the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and place it on jack stands (see "Vehicle lifting and jacking up"). Remove the corresponding rear wheel.
2. Check the disk as described in paragraph 6.
Removing
3. Refer to the description in paragraph 6, considering that there is only one dowel pin. Make sure the parking brake is fully released before removing the disc. If the disc is still tight on the parking brake pads with the lever fully depressed, loosen the parking brake adjuster as described in paragraph 13.
Installation
4. Refer to paragraph 6. When finished, adjust the parking brake as described in paragraph 13. Thoroughly check the operation of the brakes before leaving on the road.
