Contents: Examination ↡ Removal ↡ Installation ↡
Note: Please read the warning at the beginning before you begin paragraph 5 about the dangers of asbestos dust.

Examination

Note: If one of the discs needs replacing, BOTH discs must be replaced at the same time to ensure equal braking torque on both wheels. All four brake pads must be replaced along with the discs.

1. Place chocks under the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it (see "Lifting the car and placing it on supports"). Remove the corresponding rear wheel.

2. Check the disk as described in paragraph 6.

Removal

3. Refer to the description in paragraph 6, keeping in mind that there is only one locating pin. Before removing the disc, make sure that the parking brake is fully released. If the disc is still tight on the parking brake shoes with the lever fully released, loosen the parking brake adjuster as described in paragraph 13.

Installation

4. Contact paragraph 6. When finished, adjust the parking brake as described in paragraph 13. Check the brakes thoroughly before driving on the road.
