Lateral adjustment
2. Open the hood and loosen the two bolts securing the top lock plate to the hood (see fig. 7.2).

3. Through trial and error, move the top plate until there is approximately 5.0mm clearance between the hood and fenders on each side.
Longitudinal adjustment
4. Remove the hood support as described in paragraph 9.
5. To access the hood hinge nuts, remove the plastic trim from the bottom of the wheel arch on the side where the adjustment is being made.
6. Working from the engine compartment, loosen the locknut and screw in the hood rubber buffer under the hinge.
7. From the bottom of the wheel arch, loosen the four bolts securing the hood hinge.
8. With the hood closed, position it so that the edge of the hood and the edge of the front fender are in line when viewed from front to bottom.
9. With the hood closed and properly adjusted, tighten the hinge nuts.
10. Install the wheel arch trim and bonnet support, then check the height adjustment.
Height adjustment
11. Working in the engine compartment, loosen the locknut and screw in the hood rubber buffer under the hinge.
12. Loosen the nut of the lower bolt securing the hinge to the hood.
13. By trial and error, move the hood as far as necessary, tightening the hinge bolt each time until the top edge of the hood and fender are at the same level.
14. Then raise the rubber bumper a few turns so that the front edge of the hood and the edge of the fender are at the same level when viewed from the front. When adjustment is complete, tighten the buffer locknut.
