Lateral adjustment
2. Open the hood and loosen the two bolts securing the top plate of the lock to the hood (see fig. 7.2).

3. Using trial and error, move the top plate until there is a gap of approximately 5.0 mm between the hood and the fenders on each side.
Longitudinal adjustment
4. Remove the hood support rod as described in paragraph 9.
5. To access the hood hinge mounting nuts, remove the plastic trim from the bottom of the wheel arch on the side where the adjustment is being made.
6. Working from the engine compartment, loosen the lock nut and screw the rubber hood buffer under the hinge.
7. From below the wheel arch, loosen the four hood hinge mounting bolts.
8. With the hood closed, position it so that the edge of the hood and the edge of the front fender are in line when looking from the front down.
9. With the hood closed and properly adjusted, tighten the hinge nuts.
10. Install the wheel arch trim and bonnet support pillar, then check the height adjustment.
Height adjustment
11. Working in the engine compartment, loosen the lock nut and screw the rubber hood buffer under the hinge.
12. Loosen the nut of the lower bolt securing the hinge to the hood.

13. Using trial and error, move the hood as much as necessary, tightening the hinge bolt each time until the top edge of the hood and fender are level.
14. Now lift the rubber bumper a few turns until the front edge of the hood and the edge of the wing are level when viewed from the front. When the adjustment is complete, tighten the bumper lock nut.
