Bonnet Strut — Removal and Installation (Mercedes-Benz C-Class W201)

Removal

1. Raise the hood to the vertical position by depressing the latch on the left hinge, releasing the strut retainer, and pushing upward until the hinge closes.

2. Remove the stopper, unscrew the upper mounting nut and remove the thrust post.

Installation

3. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
