Before checking the wheel alignment angles, the vehicle should be checked for compliance with the conditions for such a check.

- Condition of wheel tyres: visual inspection for wear and damage.

- Condition of wheel rims: visual inspection for damage.

- Check the tire pressure.

- Visually inspect the body, especially the attachment points of suspension elements, for deformations.

- Check the clearance in the hub bearings (without using an indicator).

- Visually check the condition of the steering mechanism.

- Visually check the condition of the steering rods

After carrying out repair work, the car should be vigorously rocked so that the suspensions take their normal position.

Before measuring and adjusting the wheel alignment angles, check the vehicle platform level on the front and rear axles. For this purpose, a specialized device called a tilt meter is used.

The roll of the car is measured at four points (front right and left, rear right and left points).

At the front, the inclinometer is mounted on the suspension arms, and at the rear - on the wheel drive shafts.
