Removing
Remove the carpet and floor covering, as well as the cover under the dashboard.
Pump the brake fluid through the slave cylinder bleed valve by depressing the clutch pedal from the master cylinder reservoir into a suitable container. Alternatively, suck the brake fluid out of the corresponding chamber of the reservoir to the minimum mark.
Remove the connecting hose from the combined brake/clutch reservoir and unscrew the pipe from the master cylinder.
After removing the bolts, remove the master cylinder together with the connecting hose from the pedal bracket. Leave the pressure bar on the clutch pedal.
Installation
Push the master cylinder onto the pressure rod located on the clutch pedal. Bolt the master cylinder to the pedal bracket.
Push the connecting hose over the rubber bushing and push it onto the combined brake/clutch reservoir.
Screw the tube onto the slave cylinder.
Check clearance between push rod and piston in master cylinder and adjust if necessary.
Remove air from the system and check it for tightness.
Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and top up if necessary.
Check the clutch for free play with the engine running.
Check clutch pedal. It must lie against the stop, otherwise it may be difficult to disengage the clutch.
Install the carpet, floor covering and cover under the dashboard.
