Place the car on a suitable support, or on a lift with a platform, or in an inspection pit.
Disassemble the exhaust system.
Support the gearbox from below.
Loosen the propeller shaft mounting nut two turns without moving the rubber seal back.
Remove the rear engine mount and the rear rubber bearing.
Disconnect the propeller shaft from the gearbox and the rear axle.

Remove the intermediate bearing mounting bolts of the propeller shaft from the bottom of the frame.

Press the propeller shaft out of the centering pin of the rear axle and remove it to the rear. Make sure that the propeller shaft does not separate.
Recheck all parts for wear or damage and replace with new ones if necessary.
Installation
Lubricate the hollow spaces of both centering bushings with Molykote Longterm 2 grease.
Push the cardan shaft complete with the hinge washer onto the centering pin along the gearbox and rear axle.
It is easy to fix the intermediate bearing of the cardan shaft to the bottom of the frame.
Connect the cardan shaft to the gearbox and to the rear axle using flanges.
Secure the rear engine bracket to the bottom of the frame.
Remove the gearbox support and secure the rear rubber bearing in the desired position.

Push the body back and forth several times while driving, then tighten first the fastening nut on the propeller shaft and the fastening bolts of the intermediate bearing of the propeller shaft.
Assemble the exhaust system.
