Combi relay — location (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210)

This large relay with a large number of contacts reduces the volume of parts in the electrical system a little. It is responsible for the direction indicators and hazard warning lights, the rear window heater, and the supply of voltage to the windshield wiper motor.



On vehicles with electric windows and an electric sunroof, this relay is located under the trunk trim on the left side (Fig. 9.41).

When you hold the remote control button or the key in the front door or trunk lock until it stops in the extreme right position, the combination relay ensures that the hatch and door windows are closed.
