Removal



Fuel injector mounting on a 6-cylinder engine



1 – fuel line fastening nut;

Fastening fuel injectors on 4-cylinder engines

1. Relieve pressure in the fuel system.

2. Remove the ground cable from the battery.

3. Remove the air filter.

4. At the fuel distributor, loosen the fuel line connections from the fuel injectors. While holding the fuel injector from turning with a wrench, loosen the line connections on the fuel injectors and move the lines to the side. On 4-cylinder engines, loosen the center nuts and remove the fuel injector mounting plates. On 6-cylinder engines, loosen the screw and remove the fuel injector retaining bracket (see Fig. Fastening the fuel injector on a 6-cylinder engine, Fastening fuel injectors on 4-cylinder engines).



5. Remove the fuel injectors from the cylinder head and remove the sealing rings from them.

Installation



1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. When installing fuel injectors, it is necessary to use new sealing rings.
