Noise when driving with the gearshift lever in neutral


  • Wear of gearbox input shaft bearings (the noise disappears when the clutch pedal is pressed).
  • Release bearing wear (the noise appears when you press the clutch pedal and disappears when you release the clutch pedal).

Noise when shifting one of the gears


  • The synchronizer of the corresponding gear is worn out.

Difficulty shifting gears


  • Clutch faulty.
  • Worn or damaged gear shift rods.
  • The gear shift rod is not adjusted correctly.
  • Synchronizer wear.

The gear shift lever does not lock in the required position
