The clutch pedal is easy to press or sinks


  • Low fluid level in the clutch hydraulic system.
  • Damage to the release bearing or clutch release fork.
  • The diaphragm spring of the clutch pressure plate is damaged.

Incomplete clutch disengagement (clutch leads)


  • The fluid level in the clutch hydraulic system is too high.
  • The driven clutch disc is seized on the splines of the primary shaft.
  • Warping of the clutch disc.
  • The pressure plate assembly is not assembled correctly.
  • The clutch release mechanism is worn out or improperly assembled.

Incomplete clutch engagement (the clutch is slipping)


  • The wear of the clutch disc linings is below the permissible limit.
  • Clutch disc linings contaminated with oil or lubricant.
  • The pressure plate is faulty or the diaphragm spring is weak.

Jerks when engaging the clutch


  • The wear of the clutch disc linings is below the permissible limit.

  • The gearbox mounts to the engine are loose.

Noise when pressing or releasing the clutch pedal


  • The release bearing is worn out.
  • Clutch pedal bushings are worn or lack lubrication.
  • The pressure plate assembly is faulty.
  • Damage to the diaphragm spring of the pressure plate.
  • Damage to the damping springs in the clutch disc.
