
The key in the ignition switch can be in the following position:
0 – Ignition off.
1 – The steering is unlocked, with the ignition on and the following electrical circuits:
- windshield washers,
- headlight wipers (only when the low or high beam is turned on),
- light and sound signals,
- cigarette lighter,
- glove compartment lighting,
- radio,
- luke,
- rear window defroster,
- window lift,
- front seat adjustment,
- heated seats.
2 – Ignition on. All electrical circuits are live, indicator lights and diesel engine preheating system are working. This key position is normal when driving and towing the vehicle.
3 – Starting the engine with the starter. After starting the engine, immediately release the key.
After removing the key from the ignition switch, the steering is locked.
Attention! It is strictly forbidden to set the key to position 0 while the vehicle is moving.
To unlock the steering column, insert the key into the ignition switch and, while turning the steering wheel slightly to the right and left, turn the key in the ignition switch to position 1.
