Removal
Fuel pump fittings:
1 — fuel outlet fitting to drain valve
2 — fuel supply nipple from the tank
1. Disconnect the drain and fuel supply pipes from the pump.
2. Unscrew the two pump mounting nuts.
3. Remove the pump, heat-insulating spacer, insulating bushings and pusher.
4. Remove the pump cover, wash it with gasoline and blow out the mesh filter with compressed air.
Installation
1. Install the cover so that its locating pin fits into the socket in the pump body.
2. Install the heat-insulating spacer, directing the drain hole towards the cylinder block.
3. Install the pusher and insulating bushings.
4. Install the pump and tighten the mounting nuts.
5. Connect the drain and fuel supply tubes to the pump fittings.
