Adjustment of the starting clearance of the 1st stage air damper
Adjustment of the starting clearance of the 1st stage of the air damper:
1 - thrust; 2 - intermediate lever; 3 - lever; 4 - thermostatic actuator; 5 - adjusting nut
1. This adjustment must be made when the coolant temperature is less than 20°C. At higher temperatures, cool the thermostatic actuator 4.
2. Make sure the air dampers move freely.
3. Move the rod 1 to the left, resting it on the intermediate lever 2.
4. Move the lever 3 until it stops against the rod 1 of the pneumatic actuator.
5. Check the starting clearance of the 1st stage air damper using a 3.2 mm drill.
6. Loosen nut 5 if necessary and adjust servo travel 4 to the correct size.
Adjustment of the starting clearance of the second stage of the air damper
Adjustment of the starting clearance of the second stage of the air damper:
1 - thrust of the pneumatic drive; 2 - intermediate lever; 3 - lever; 6 - adjusting screw
1. Remove the body of the bimetallic spring, turn on the ignition and after about 150 s, move the rod 1 of the pneumatic actuator to the left until it stops.
2. Move the lever 3 until it stops against the rod 1 of the pneumatic actuator.
3. Check the starting clearance of the 2nd stage air damper using a 4.2 mm drill.
4. If necessary, adjust the size by turning the adjusting screw 6.
