1. To ensure maximum service life and minimum disruption, a reconditioned engine must not only be properly assembled, but must also be immaculately clean. All oil channels must be cleaned, and lock and spring washers put in place. When assembling, thoroughly lubricate all bearings and other working surfaces with engine oil.
2. Replace any bolts or studs with damaged threads before beginning assembly.
3. Prepare a torque wrench, oiler, clean rags, a set of gaskets and engine seals, and a new oil filter.
