Fuses and relays (Mercedes-Benz E-Class W123)

The fuses are located in the engine compartment on the right side of the body bulkhead. The various relays are located separately on the wiring harnesses. Fuses should always be replaced with new ones of the same rating. Do not reuse the same fuse without finding out the cause of the fault (usually it's a short circuit). Always turn off the ignition before replacing a fuse.

To access the fuses, remove the fuse box cover (two buttons). Fuses are inserted between the spring contacts. The circuits protected by the fuses are indicated on the inside of the cover, but if necessary, the wiring diagrams provided at the end of this section can be used.

The fuse for the radio power line is located next to it. Relays are mounted behind the instrument panel or in the engine compartment.
