Connecting the drive cable to the hood lock
1. Remove the lower instrument panel shield.
2. Loosen the bolt securing the hood lock handle to the side panel and release the cable.
3. Working in the engine compartment, release the cable from the bracket and plastic ties, then pull it out of the clamps near the lock.
4. Disconnect the cable from the lock by loosening the lock nuts and pressing the pin away from the clamp.
5. Remove the cable from the vehicle.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. After installation, adjust the cable fastening with lock nuts so that there is no free play.
