The body structure is welded, all-metal, with a safety passenger compartment, with front and rear sections that absorb impact energy. The body is available in sedan, coupe and station wagon versions. The body equipment includes a sunroof and a centrally controlled vacuum door lock system. The sunroof can be manual or electric; in the latter case, an emergency manual drive is provided. The hood, trunk lid, doors and front fenders are bolt-on and easy to replace. During installation, the appropriate clearances must be observed.
The gap between the body parts must be the same along the entire length. Permissible deviation - 0.5 mm. The dimensions shown in the figure are in millimeters with a tolerance of±0.5 mm.
Every 20,000 km, lubricate the door hinges with universal grease using a syringe. In addition, at the same time
on a station wagon, lubricate the tailgate hinges with engine oil. Also apply a small amount of grease to the latch and pawl of the door locks.
Every 48,000 km, check the cleanliness of all body drain holes.
Every 12 months, lubricate the sunroof guides and check the patency of the drainage channels by pumping them with compressed air from a tire pump. At the same time, at the same time check the body base for damage and corrosion, especially the condition of the anti-corrosion coating on the bottom of the body. If necessary, apply a new anti-corrosion coating and make appropriate repairs.
