Correct position of the hood
1. Open the hood completely and place pieces of cloth under both rear corners.
2. Disconnect the windshield washer tube from the tee, release the clamp and pull out the tube.
3. Use a pencil to mark the position of the hinge mounting bolts on the hood, then loosen the bolts a few turns.
4. With the help of an assistant, remove the bolts while supporting the hood, and then remove the hood from the vehicle.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal, returning the hinges to their original position before tightening the bolts. The hood should be centered relative to the opening and in the correct position relative to the surrounding body parts. The lower edge of the front edge of the hood should be on the continuation of the line of the upper edge of the turn signal cutouts.
6. To adjust the longitudinal position of the hood, loosen the hinge mounting bolts, adjust the position of the hood and tighten the bolts. To adjust the height, unscrew the lock nuts and turn the rubber stops under the front of the hood to the desired angle, and then tighten the lock nuts.
