Correct position of the hood
1. Open the hood fully and place pieces of cloth under both rear corners of the hood.
2. Disconnect the windshield washer tube from the tee, release the clip and pull out the tube.
3. Mark the position of the hinge bolts on the hood with a pencil, then unscrew the bolts a few turns.
4. With the help of an assistant, remove the bolts while supporting the hood, and then remove the hood itself from the vehicle.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal, with the hinges in their original position before tightening the bolts. The hood must be centered on the opening and in the correct position relative to the surrounding body parts. The lower edge of the front edge of the hood should be in line with the top edge of the cutouts for the direction indicators.
6. To adjust the longitudinal position of the hood, loosen the hinge bolts, adjust the position of the hood and tighten the bolts. For height adjustment, loosen the lock nuts and rotate the rubber stops under the front of the hood to the desired angle, then tighten the lock nuts.
